Search Engine Optimization

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) feature allows you to manually add Meta Tags to your website so that it will rank higher in the major search engines. The content you add in this section will not be displayed on your website, it is solely used for the purpose of improving your rank in search engines.


Add Meta Data

Follow the step-by-step instructions below to add Meta Data:

  1. Go to the "Configuration" tab via the administrative menu at the top of the screen.
  2. Choose "Search Engine Optimization" from the list.
  3. Choose "Meta Data" from the list.
  4. Enter a Name for your Meta Data information.
  5. Enter your Keywords. These will be a list of words or phrases, separated by commas, that describe your site or your business in the simplest terms possible.
  6. Enter a Description. This is just a general paragraph with all the most important information about your company.
  7. Click "Add" to save.

 

This will return you to your list of Meta Data entries. You can add more, edit, or delete them here. You can easily assign Meta Data to specific Pages as described below.


Assign Meta Data via Pages

Follow the step-by-step instructions below to assign your Meta Data directly through your Page:

  1. Go to the "Content" section via the main administrative interface.
  2. Choose "Pages" from the list.
  3. Click the "Action" tab next to the page to which you'd like to assign your data and choose "Edit"
  4. Open up the drop-down menu next to the Meta Data field and choose an entry.
  5. Click the "Update" button to save.

 

This will return you to your list of Pages. You can repeat the process to add different Meta Data to multiple Pages. You can also assign Meta Data using direct Paths as explained below.


Assign Meta Data via Meta Paths

Follow the step-by-step instructions below to assign your Meta Data using Meta Paths:

  1. Go to the "Configuration" section via the main administrative interface.
  2. Choose "Search Engine Optimization" from the list.
  3. Choose "Meta Paths" from the list.
  4. Click the "Add Meta Path" button located in the top right section of the page.
  5. Enter one or more URLs (one on each line) into the "Path" field.
  6. Choose which Meta Data you'd like to associate with those Pages.
  7. Click the "Add" button to save.

 

This will return you to your list of Meta Paths. You can add, edit, or delete them from here.
